About us
Bridging invention and impact.
SAIF is a California-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit building on a decade of innovation and deployment experience by Social Alpha and Sustain Plus. Many socially critical innovations struggle or fail because existing capital models are poorly aligned with long-gestation, deployment-intensive sectors such as climate adaptation, resilient livelihoods, and distributed systems.
SAIF exists to catalyse more patient, catalytic, deployment-oriented capital that bridges invention and impact — connecting philanthropic capital, strategic partnerships, and ecosystem collaboration to innovation-to-deployment pathways in resource-constrained and climate-vulnerable contexts.
We raise grants, gifts, and donations from philanthropic institutions and individuals, and deploy them where they can catalyse durable change.
Cross-border role
Global innovation, local deployment.
SAIF is deeply rooted in India's deployment realities while engaging global capital, innovation, and ecosystem partners. We connect globally relevant startups and technologies with deployment opportunities in India and other underserved, climate-vulnerable markets facing similar innovation-to-deployment gaps.
We also translate what works. Institutional models and learnings from India — built through years of on-the-ground deployment — inform how SAIF strengthens innovation and deployment architectures in comparable contexts across the Global South.
